Brewers agree to contract with Gerut

Milwaukee, WI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to a
one-year contract with outfielder Jody Gerut, avoiding arbitration.
The Brewers acquired Gerut from the Padres last May, and in 122 games between
Milwaukee and San Diego, he hit .230 with a .279 on-base percentage, nine
homers and 35 runs batted in.
With Gerut agreeing to a contract, Milwaukee's remaining arbitration-eligible
players are pitchers Dave Bush, Todd Coffey and Carlos Villanueva; outfielders
Corey Hart and Carlos Gomez; and second baseman Rickie Weeks.
