NEW YORK (AP) - The Atlanta Hawks Marvin Williams has been suspended two games and the New York Knicks' Shawne Williams one game for throwing punches Friday night.

Marvin Williams started things when he shoved Shawne Williams in the back as they ran up the court with 43 seconds left in the Hawks' 111-102 victory. The NBA cited Marvin Williams on Saturday for throwing punches and fighting, while Shawne Williams got a one-game ban for throwing a punch during an altercation.

ATLANTA (AP) - The Atlanta Hawks have signed swingman Damien Wilkins for the rest of the season.

The Hawks announced the move Friday before facing the New York Knicks.

Wilkins is a seven-year veteran who originally signed with the team Dec. 3. He was waived Jan. 5 before signing 10-day contracts on Jan. 8 and Jan. 18.

The 31-year-old Wilkins is the son of former NBA player Gerald Wilkins and nephew of Hawks great Dominique Wilkins.
